Teaching Portfolio

My teaching experience spans over two decades, beginning at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where I initially taught architecture studios and digital CAD representation while engaging with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). After relocating to New York City and earning my Master’s degree from Pratt Institute, I transitioned into teaching in the United States. Since 2012, I’ve been affiliated with the City University of New York (CUNY), specifically at CityTech, where I began as an adjunct professor. In 2022, I became a full-time lecturer in the Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology (CMCE) Department. My courses focus on Construction Drawings, Materials and Methods of Construction, and advanced integration of BIM and other digital tools. Additionally, I have contributed significantly to curriculum development, including authoring an Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook designed to enhance students’ learning experiences. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve consistently integrated emerging technologies, such as AI-driven educational tools and transparent digital communication methods, to enrich classroom instruction and better prepare students for the demands of the contemporary architecture and construction industries.
