Hello Team ERZ,
My name is Sebastian Tinazzi (email: satf10@hotmail.com) and I’m one of three Civil Engineering students assigned to your project, the other 2 are Aleksandr Fishman (email:Aleksandr.Fishman@mail.citytech.cuny.edu) and Steven D. (email: flyhawkb53@gmail.com). Analyzing the beam we came to the conclusion that it would be inadequate based on its length. From our calculations we found that the maximum span from column to column can be 32 feet. Since the span in the project exceeds 32 feet we encourage you to either place more columns in between or making the cross section area bigger (either the height or width or both).
