My Philosophy

It is my view that my life is a journey with a purpose and as I interact with my neighbors, family, peer, co-workers we are able to contribute to our environment, modify our approaches to different matters and impact the lives of others. As such our moral values are pivotal and will ultimately guide our interactions and should be based on respect for others, honesty, kindheartedness, integrity, care, compassion for others and a sense of responsibility.
Having been nurtured in a charismatic Christian home, it is my belief that the duration of one’s life is relatively short compared to that of eternity and as such one should emphasize the real intangible things that really matters and in my opinion these include a love for God, my family any others with whom I interact. It is also my opinion that one should take the opportunity to enjoy the finer things of life and purse whatever brings a sense of happiness, fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment.
As to my approach to a secular working environment, it is my belief that it takes approximately the same time to accomplish a “poor quality” of work and service as compared to an excellent one and as such one should strive for excellence and the best quality of service in what they do. This should include a sense of enthusiasm, commitment, conscientiousness to every detail and a sense of pride for the accomplishment. Not forgetting the person who is being serve is of paramount importance and should be treated with respect and dignity.
As it relates to nursing profession, the patient and his/ her interest takes the highest priority and should be “patient centered”. It is about doing what is best for the patient, including his/her involvement and mobilizing the necessary resources to ensure the best patient outcome. Of major importance is developing a therapeutic relationship and fostering an environment that promotes the patient’s well-being.
