Mostakim Shahed, President

Mostakim Shahed is a freshman at City Tech. He is pursuing 4 years nursing degree and preparing for the nursing exam. “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots.” -Marcus Garvey. As in this quote, he believes that we must strengthen our culture and roots to grow. He wants to promote our Bengali culture at City Tech through friendship, enjoyment, and holding cultural events. He wants to add a different curriculum to the club, making it a cultural/social club that will educate people. He is here to find our lost culture in this present generation. “চল বদলাই”

Wajiha Ishraq, Vice President

Wajiha is a person who believes that “ Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all.” She is always ready to take risks to pursue her dreams and achieve her goals. She is currently doing her bachelors in Civil Engineering, and she plans to do associates in business management. This is her second year at college. She wants to work for BSA, to improve the experience of Bangladeshi students studying here by involving them in cultural activities.
Last but not least, her goal is to spread the beauty of Bangla culture to everyone.

Sadika Islam, Secretary

Sadika is a person that thinks, “It is during our darkest moments, but we must focus to see the light.” College years are one of the battling years of life, and we are all very lost and stressed. Our BSA exists for our Bengali friends to make these years fun and exciting and feel like home. She is preparing for the Nursing exam and an associate in Health Sciences. This is her first year and second semester in college. She believes having a Bengali community in college will make City Tech wonderful. She is here proud of being a Bengali and cheers on making good/bad memories through this journey. “জীবনে সবসময় হাসবা”.

Suchi Chowdhury, Treasurer

Suchi Chowdhury is a person who believes that “teamwork is the main hidden key that makes common people together achieve the most uncommon results.” Always show your best side of a positive attitude in a negative situation, and no one will be able to stop you from achieving what you want. She is doing her bachelor’s in computer engineering. She wants to make BSA a stronger community. She wants to make BSA a place where all BSA members can be themselves without hesitation. She wants to create an environment in BSA where they can have lots of fun, learn from each other about their country, and represent part of their most valuable thing, their culture, and country, together. We have equal power, and she wants each BSA member to say we’re part of the BSA CityTech proudly.
