Log #03 Plans

Just like that I finally heard back from the small business owner I gave my contact information and submitted my portfolio. The business owner’s name is Tasha and she told me she was interested in working with me after seeing my work on my social media and liked how I implemented the reels feature on Instagram. I was super excited and ready for a challenge after receiving the news that I finally landed an internship. we set up a meeting time so I could give her the paperwork that was given to me during class and present the mood board that I created. I was very nervous to present my ideas because e I wanted to make sure that I was interpreting her vision for her brand correctly.

I had to do a little research to see what her brand presence was like online and she connected with her audience. Tasha had a lot of recurring customers through word of mouth but, her social media could use some work. I noticed that she had the right idea but she didn’t fully understand the changes that were happening in the digital world to implement her ideas properly. Right now we’re in an era of more video content the attention span is even lower than what it used to be maybe like 10 years ago.

I told myself that I want to use the reels feature more on her Instagram and implement more carrousel posts. When the meeting day came I showed we need to follow her brand consistency even online it shouldn’t change. The brand identity needs to stay the same throughout each media being posted. I went over my mood board with her and showed her how her stock photos of her product can be used better on a digital platform. I also discussed what was her story that she wanted to tell her online audience.
