  • ABET Coordinator for the AAS program in Electromechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Coordinator of the Middle States Commission for Higher Education (MSCHE) Assessment Documentation, which was critical for the MSCHE visit on March 2018.
  • Course Coordinator: EMT1111, CET4773. Updated syllabus and material of both courses.
  • Updated a lab manual for EMT2370. The manual includes twelve labs adopting real hardware and simulators.
  • Maintained and manage a computer-based system to automatically grade the uniform final exam of EMT1150.

  • Represent the CET Department in the CUNY Computer Science Discipline Council. Meetings are held almost every month.
  • Co-Coordinated (with Profs. Jang and Zia) the ABET visit/audit to our department on October 19-21, 2014.
  • Coordinated the organization of the show room for ABET audit.
  • Wrote the 7-day response after ABET evaluators visit (EMT program) October 27, 2015. This response was key for clarifying some shortcomings found by the ABET evaluators that did not have fundaments.
  • Coordinated the changes requested by ABET to the CET Web Site.
  • Wrote the 30-day response after ABET evaluators visit (EMT program) March 19, 207.
  • Create a web page about academic advising for students. Now part of the CET Department Website [http://www.citytech.cuny.edu/academics/deptsites/cetech/advising.aspx]

Other teaching/instructional responsibilities.

  • Co-authored, with Prof. Wang, a Major Proposal titled “Curriculum Modification and New course for P-TECH students in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology AAS program”. This proposal introduces a new course in the curriculum for the AAS in electromechanical, the course EMT1240 Introduction to Computer Engineering. College Council has accepted this proposal.
  • P-TECH coordinator representing the CET department. Providing recommendations to help improve the P-TECH students experience while taking college-level courses. Courses and material recommendations. On Fall 2015 the previous courses, EMT1111 and EMT1250, will be replaced by EMT120 and EMT2370.
  • Developed an assessment instrument, rubrics, and lab assignment, to evaluate ABET student outcomes related to professional and ethical responsibilities, respect for diversity, and self-directed continuing professional development. The instructors teaching the course EMT2461 use this material.
  • Developed a tutorial to introduce concepts of project and time management. This tutorial supports the evaluation of the ABET student outcomes related to commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement. The instructors teaching the courses EMT2461, CET4711, and CET4811 use this material.

  • Developed and maintain curriculum for course CET4773: Microcomputer Interfacing, to satisfy the requirements to obtain the CCENT/CCNA ICND1 from CISCO [https://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/cet4773s15/syllabus/].
  • Developed and maintain curriculum for course CET4711, introducing project management concepts and web application development to align some of the ABET requirements for accreditation [https://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/cet4711f14/]
