August 2022 Password Reset

For the safety of your account, all City Tech OpenLab passwords were reset on August 9, 2022.  If you have not yet set a new password for your account, or if you have forgotten your password, reset it now, following the instructions below.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:  To reset your password you will need access to your City Tech email account. Students who need help can contact the Help Desk at 718-260-4900 or studenthelpdesk@citytech.cuny.edu, or visit the Help Desk on the first floor of the Atrium Building. You can also look up your email username here. Faculty and staff can contact the Faculty & Staff Helpdesk at (718) 260-5626.

1. If you try to log into the OpenLab after August 9, you will see the following message that the password you entered was incorrect, and that you will need to reset your password.

2. Click on the link to reset it now.

3. Enter your OpenLab username or your email address (this should be your City Tech email), and press Get New Password.

4. You’ll receive an email with the subject “[City Tech OpenLab] Password Reset.” It may have gone to your junk folder or another folder, so search your email for “[City Tech OpenLab] Password Reset” if you don’t see it in your inbox. Click on the link in the email to reset your password.

5. You will see a page like the one below, with a box to enter your new password. You can press Generate Password to generate a secure password, or you can enter your own. When you’re finished, press Save Password.
