How do I gain access to the OpenLab?

  • Anyone can browse through the OpenLab, but only City Tech students, faculty, and staff can sign up for an OpenLab account.
  • To sign up, you need access to your City Tech email.
  • Once you are able to log into your email, you can create an OpenLab account.
  • If you have an account but have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password link in the Log in box on the OpenLab homepage and enter your email or username to reset your password.

How do I look up my email username?

  • Students, you can look up your City Tech email username on the CIS Email Address Lookup page. Your username is your entire email address.
  • Faculty and staff, your username is the first part of your email address before the “@” symbol. If you have any trouble, please contact Computing and Information Services.

How do I recover my OpenLab password that I forgot?

  • Click the Forgot Password link in the Log in box on the OpenLab homepage and enter your City Tech email or username to reset your password.

How do I continue using the OpenLab after I graduate?

  • You can switch your account type from student to alumni and continue using the OpenLab for as long as you’d like after you graduate.
