Greatness, a word described to many as being the best of the best in your respective field. But in the basketball sense, greatness is described to being the best at what you do which can often or not influence others to want to follow in your footsteps that you paved forward for you.

I picked the word greatness because it can be associated with most things even not in the terms of basketball, its meaningful to me because it was the first sense of me actually seeing “greatness.” In the sport of basketball it can mirror both someones career on the court and off of the court as well so that the audiences and fans can further see the type of person you are, not just being from a sport.

Readers can learn just as I did when I saw “greatness” whether it was the likes of Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabar or even Lebron James as well. I’d like the reader to see how I did from various articles, journals, video clips and documentaries what greatness really is and how it can impact more than just the sport you play.

I would wish to borrow the techniques that both Diaz and Abdurraqib used to more of “talk” to the reader as if it is a story not like I’m emitting a serious tone towards the reader but more of a story to be heard and admire. This way the point I can get across about my word “greatness” is that it can mean a lot more than the reader would think intentionally. (If I do change my word it would most likely relate to the topic of basketball from someone from the basketball discourse community not the anime one I previously mentioned).

That’s a really nice way to discuss what is a very general term, and I think you’re right!
