The âingredientsâ for an Education Narrative are people personal hardships/obstacles that shaped their personality and education wise. The best place where these two narrators started is by stating the problem and developing the problem while going along and how they overcome it. For example, in âMaybe I Could Save Myself by Writingâ by Jose Olivarez tells readers of his struggles with adapting to life both in the United States and in MĂ©xico. One thing that I have a concern about is how I will get my point across the reader without going on and on. I already have my story as there were one experiences in high school that shaped me to who I am and how I write, but I fear that some people wonât like my work

This OpenLab site accompanies Jackie Blain’s synchronous ENG 1101 course for Fall 2020. The Course Materials are here (Assignments, Resources, How-to Videos) as well as the Class Discussion blogs. We’re all about writing in multiple digital and analogue situations, for multiple purposes… and investigating and talking about issues by asking questions. Lots of questions.
To get in touch with Prof Blain, either drop me a text on our Slack channel or email me at DBlain@citytech.cuny.edu.
