Write Out Loud!

Questions from how to read like a writer-Jeffrey

When Mike Bunn says you are already an author he means you already have the skill to write anything like a story. Some thing that I have wrote are texts reminders for things like homework and essay for classes and also this assignment. One thing in that article that I found interesting and want to maybe try is adding a quote at the beginning of a story/essay because I have never done it before and am interested if it would help my writing skills. I’m still a little iffy about the annotating because I was never a big fan of annotating but its not as bad as I though it would be though if the text is long it can take a while. I also didn’t know there was a different kind of way to read something I found that pretty interesting. Also the importance of knowing what your gonna write about I think is super important.

Good insights. Annotating does indeed take a little longer, but I’ve always found that I remember more about the reading if I do that… or at least I can go back and see what I thought was important without having to read the whole thing again!
