I chose the Time’s magazine as an example of how I hope the project for me would turn out it the end. The magazine issue overall tone is very serious which is how the topic (climate change) should be taken. It’s very informative, presents lots of facts in hopes of readers acknowledging the outcomes of no change being done. Statistics are included based on research Time’s themselves have done. I used the article from the Time’s website it was really long and informative. As far as the issue goes, it was really informative which something I would like to present to my readers as well. But I would also add more images so readers can see for themselves on what’s going on all over the world.

ENG 1101 is about you getting more comfortable with your own process. You’ll look at tools and ideas about how language is used to communicate and persuade and even exclude. And you’ll be introduced to concepts like transfer, genre, and metacognition.

Is this the New York Times? If so, you did a good job. However, they don’t use a lot of images, depending on whether it’s an information article or a feature, so it’s something you’ll have to be sure you don’t go against when you do yours. You have a good group to work with, and I think you’ll be able to help each other stay true to The Times’ structures.
