For this Meditation Assignment, I felt very curious about this meditation and how it will help you focused on what’s important and it help you to prevent your anger issues. The I chose for this assignment is “Calm-Meditate, Sleep, Relax”, this app is about calm for everyone because its everyone who needs mental breaks, a soothing sound, or a peaceful night’s rest. The second app I chose “Meditopia- Sleep, Meditation” because this app can help you get calm, reduce stress, sleep well, love, find peace and start a deep discovery for yourself. The third I chose is “Better ME: Mental Health”, is based on bringing yourself to the state of calm and wellness, and balance your life using a combination of guided meditations and techniques. In this app, you will learn how to manage daily stress and improve your mental health by breathing, which is a natural anti-anxiety therapy. After viewing these app, I finally chose “Calm- Meditate, Sleep, Relax” because it help me understand the true aspect of self-help, healing, and meditation. On this assignment, my plan is to branch out the meditation strategies and understand the true aspect of meditation. I can also write and express myself how meditation really helps you and how it balance your life.
Thanks Kash for sharing your thoughts here, along with your (umbrella) intentions for the project.
Calm is a great app (as you know, it’s my go-to!), but the free version is limited in terms of its offerings. No need to pay for an app or subscription (unless you want to — I think it’s a worthwhile investment, but there are lots of free options out there too), but have you explored the content and seen if there are 14 discrete meditations (of 10 minutes each) that you want to use? If so, which meditations are you planning to use?
When/where do you plan to meditate? Being specific about your schedule can help to create a daily practice / habit, and will set you up for being successful on this assignment.
Also, friendly reminder to include the links for the apps you researched (so I and others can check them out too) — can you drop them in a comment here? Thanks!
