Being a role model. Wow. Then you have to watch everything you say and do. This is analogous to a HUS worker in the agency. We always have to have our HUS ‘hat on’ when working, and not take if off =even for a minute. We can be role models on how to communicate with people. If we show a sense of well-being and communicate in a professional manner, tone then the client may ‘pick up’ on some of our style. Some clients have never been exposed to proper ways of being. You see it on the street when someone is yelling, or a parent who goes wild on their child. There is a ‘street’ way to act, and then there is a mature adult way to act. Then there is a professional way to act. You’re brother is lucky to have you. Don’t preach…we don’t preach to our clients. Instead we ask questions for them to figure things out. Our questions do not have a tone of ‘you better give me the right answer’….so be a big brother, not a person who dictates. Go get em!!!!
