  1. Do not judge. This is a tough task as humans tend to have morals and values to aid in their well-being/happiness, yet use them to be critical of others. In our profession judging others should only come from assessing ones’ well-being. Meaning we as professionals can evaluate whether the client’s behaviors/actions are in good judgment. In psychology you learn that the superego creates morals and values. Contrastly, the id does not want to know about morals and values. The ego’s job is to manage the id and superego and figure out what is good enough judgement. So hopefully the ego will win in order for well-being to live! (i.e., enjoy life (id) + within basic rules (superego) = An ego that regulates and supports well-being……= happiness!
