I took my favorite Walt Disney quote: “If you can dream it, you can do it.” For my first two sketches, I chose birds or wings as one of the elements present, as they symbolize freedom of thought and who does not dream of flying high into the sky. In three sketches, I used the sky as a background. Moreover, in the first two, a palette of contrasting colors was used – shades of yellow and blue.
In the first one with the girl, I focused on her. I showed that she took off and spread her arms to the sides. The yellow fire inside her shows the desire to move forward. I put the word “dream” over her – this is an action that I took, which means she will soon fulfill her dream.
In the second draft, I focused more on the typographic text of the quote. I used the palette as in the previous image but left the background in yellow-orange tones and the letters in blue-purple. I painted the birds with a white fill. They fly towards the sun, turning into the word “dream.” The rays come from the sun, and the glare is visible against the sky.
In my third sketch, I focused on photography and typographic text. I took the color scheme of the typographical text from the photo – dark blue and white. A musician or a talented person walks forward and looks at a bird flying in the sky. This composition symbolizes the pursuit of a dream and a look into a brighter future.
