Knowing the definition of loftier helped me understand what the speaker wanted for themselves and how they would feel if they had chose another route to their success. It shows how the speaker would limit them self and inspired them a life of very high disappointment. Show how quick they are to give up instead of accepting the challenge of success.

Knowing the definition helped me understanding what was happening with the wreckage and how it impacted the gales. It put an image in my head on how scatter pilled up. As well as connect line 12 to line 13.
