Annotated Bibliography Due: 11/29 in class

No late annotated bibliographies drafts accepted for credit.

Assignment:

An Annotated Bibliography is simply a review of the sources that will be used to write the
Research Paper. It is a good exercise to do before writing or even outlining the Research Paper,
as it can give the researcher/writer a better sense of what information they have, what
information they still need, and where the research is pointing.

An Annotated Bibliography should include the following:

  1. Proper citation of each source (MLA formatting)
  2. A short summary of each source
  3. A statement on how each source relates to your research question

This will help in deciding if more research needs to be done or if there is already
sufficient information to write the paper.

Directions:

  • Be sure to give your paper clear structure and logical organization.
  • Your annotated bibliography should be typed, in MLA format (doublespaced,
12pt, Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins).
  • Your name, my name, the due date, and the assignment should all appear at the top
of your first page (no cover page).
  • The annotated bibliography must be edited for grammar, typos, and readability.
