The internship project which was ran by staff and clients was able to have a food drive and they donated various types of nonperishable foods to the agency’s local food pantry right before Thanksgiving . The purpose of this group project is to have clients and the staff come together and begin getting involved more with the community and help the less fortunate. Besides helping to feed the less fortunate, the program staff and clients have become motivated to get involved more in community service projects. The clients with the support and help of the staff created lunch bags filled with two sandwiches and two water bottles and accompanied by the staff handed out these lunch bags to anyone who was hungry for free in the Ridgewood Queens community. There are more community projects and activities being developed for the near future .
