Taking selfies has had a tremendous impact in society in the 21st century. A trend such as this, with advanced technology and a variety of social media outlets; makes it difficult for one to not partake in it. Over the years, however, taking a photograph of one self just didn’t seem enough. Daring to be different and intriguing, people started resulting to extreme measures to impress their followers on social media. The fact of the matter is selfies are worth risking ones’ life for. In order to decrease and ultimately prevent increasing untimely deaths, rules should be enforced to create selfie-free zones. There are boundaries that need to be set for people to understand that there’s a time and place for everything and safety is more vital than a lot of Instagram or Facebook likes.
