Detroit many, many, years ago was a city full of culture and prosperity. The automotive industry mainly fueled this, along with public and private enterprise, which stimulated the local economy. However, in this day in age, we can see that Detroit is facing hard times. The city is currently in bankruptcy, with mounds of debt. Detroits decaying cultural centers, along with beautiful architecture still shows its beauty beyond the hanging paint and moss. We know that it is in its predicament as a result of its financial status so we can definitely give it some credit. Hopefully one day there will be enough funds to restore Detroit to its former glory.
