  1. I. In my opinion, the Brooklyn Bridge style ideally should be Indo-Saracenic because it would add a twist to it, since the bridge is very stoney, dark bricks, and is very plain when it comes to the style of it, the Indo-Saracenic style would look different in terms of the round shapes it has, looks more sophisticated and modern.

  2. I. What style should the Brooklyn Bridge be ideally?
I think the style of the Brooklyn Bridge should be ideally what it is now. It has been working out ever since it has been built so it doesn’t make sense to me to change it. If the big vision of the Brooklyn Bridge was based on a different type of revival design, it would mean something else entirely. The style now is Gothic and if were anything else it would represent something else.

  3. From my point of view there is no need to change the architectural view of Brooklyn Bridge. There is many development in the world which are getting better and better nowadays. So, if There’s need to change from a certain view I would say Baroque architecture because this is the building style of the Baroque era, Renaissance architecture and used it in a new rhetorical and theatrical fashion, often to express the triumph of the Catholic Church. This architectural look will make the bridge more niche and portico shape. They use some fashionable and glittered marbles, cone shape domb, thinner base to hold the bridge with heavy concrete.
The architectural style I have worked with is Neo-Baroque architecture.

  4. I. What style should the Brooklyn Bridge be ideally?
Brooklyn Bridge is a famous historical treasure in the world. In my opinion, it is not necessary to change its style because it is an expression of a culture in a period. For us, it is a monumental representation of human achievement. The heavy massing represents the solemn position of this bridge. The pointed arch opening, which is the remarkable character of Gothic architectural style, symbolizes the open future of this city. The steel wires make the bridge technically keep in stable and never lose their aesthetic feeling.

  5. I. What style should the Brooklyn Bridge be ideally?

That ideal style of Brooklyn Bridge should be Gothic architectural style. Because there are many churches in Brooklyn and the Gothic architectural style is better to describe the culture in Brooklyn. Baroque architecture would be a great one as an alternative style. As Catholic Church style architecture, it was characterized by solemn, intensity and form of strong worship. It would still use the firm stone but the smaller holes on the bridge.

  6. I. If I have to a chance to redesign the Brooklyn Bridge, I would love it to be Indo-Saracenic Architecture bridge. The indo-Saracenic architecture has some similar structure features with Gothic architecture style. the Jama Masjid in Ahmadabad is one of the great example of into-saracenic architecture style. Rectangular and the cylindrical pillars are the basic shape used in into-saracenic architecture.

  8. l. I think the style of Brooklyn Bridge would be Gothic style. Elements of the Brooklyn Bridge are matching with some characteristics of the Gothic style. Such as massive and tall columns of Brooklyn Bridge are built straightly toward to the sky. Also, the Brooklyn Bridge has pointy arches, which represents the Gothic style. Following the history of Brooklyn Bridge, three continued generation architects were working on it. So, it is very mixing up of many ideas, trends, and cultures. Interestingly, back to the time when the Brooklyn Bridge was built, steel was introduced as a main material for the buildings. Brooklyn Bridge is the one of the represent of the architectures in the era.

  9. The Brooklyn Bridge was completed in 1883. It uses the architecture styling of gothic revival. During this period, this was the popular style of architecture and it makes sense that it was used for a large project such as the Brooklyn bridge. Gothic revival is an ode to Eastern European medieval simplicity, it stems from the grandiose of efficient building.
If the Brooklyn bridge was based on a different revival style, it could have meant that a new architectural movement would have started. having a project which revolutionized transportation between the boroughs, be done in a different style could have spelled a different course of history for the development of urbanization in the city.
An example would be if the Brooklyn bridge was done in Egyptian revival which was also popular around this time however, this architectural movement lasted longer into the early 20th century. This style revolved more around the grand beauty of scale and manipulation of simple geometric shapes. If the Brooklyn bridge was done in the fashion then, I believe we could have expected to see a different city than the one we know today.
The resources I have used were buildinghistory.org and metmuseum.org. Building history was created by Jean Manco. She is a building historian and specializes in early history European. She has published works in scholarly papers and has created a career from her knowledge base in early European architectural styles. I do not believe this website is meant to generate revenue. It is a ‘.org’ registry meaning that it is meant for public interest, and there is no merchandise to buy or products being endorsed. It is a plain website, with nothing too impressive about it, however the content of the site is well documented and informative.
The other resource, metmuseum.org is more interactive and has updated information on the connection between the style of the course of history. This is also a site that does not aim to make money, and produces quality literature that holds high standards for those who create it.

  10. I.
In my opinion the architectural style of the Brooklyn Bridge should not change. The Gothic Revival style is a great representation of the Brooklyn culture and I believe that it is a great influence on how the city looks today. If I had to choose any other style for the Brooklyn Bridge to be designed I would choose Greek Revival because it have gave it more life and gave it a more monumental look.

  11. I. What style should the Brooklyn Bridge be ideally?
Brooklyn Bridge belongs to gothic revival architecture which also knows as Neo-gothic architecture. The reason why I guess it is revival architecture is because it has a similar look with church. The bridge gives me very heavy feeling. It has a lot of brick to be the outside finish, and those details and arches also relate to gothic revival architecture.
