Merchandising Planning and Buying Course Description:

This course introduces students to the mathematical concepts, techniques, and analysis essential to the buying and planning process in retailing. It covers business functions such as procuring goods from manufacturers and distributing them to consumers, emphasizing interactive learning and mathematical problem-solving. Students will understand how retailers maximize return on investment by planning sales and inventory to increase profitability, while minimizing losses from markdowns and stockouts.
