I’m Andy Zheng. This year is my first year at City Polytechnic. In my last year of high school I showed an interest in the hospitality and chef industry. This idea stems from my experience working in the back kitchen of a restaurant in 2021. My dream was to have a restaurant of my own, so I chose this industry. In this industry, attitude and your speed determine whether you are extremely competent for the job. I want to understand how the hotel and the systems inside it work. How the different parts communicate. The language barrier also profoundly affected my understanding of the industry. But I believe I can do my best to understand how the restaurant works. At the same time, my experience has also taught me that in terms of serving customers, I need to understand a lot of truth and the rules of the workplace.
