Project Description
The first video is a Travel Film, we were tasked to demonstrate the ability to create a travel film and inform the viewer what they can expect to see when they visit The Statue of Liberty.
The second video is a documentary of choice, with supporting videos or photographs to tell a compelling dynamic story.
Refletion
In 305; I couldn’t go twice so I did a deep dive of the location. I made a shot list of all the shots I wanted to take beforehand, based on the photographs and videos I saw. Although this was a major help, it was not the same. I still needed some form of direction that I probably would have gotten a better feal for if I would have visited the place before shooting.
In SOFT FOCUSE it was a challenge to implement pictures in a video without the feel and look of a slideshow. It was important for me to align the photographs with what my subject would mention to make a connection without it being a distraction.
