Reflection
My first semester at City Tech I was in a bike accident. I fell off my bike on my way to school and hit my head on the pavement. I wasn’t wearing a helmet, but I was lucky enough that nothing severe happened to me. From this personal experience, I wanted to highlight the importance of wearing a helmet and making space in the Cycle world for women. Cycling is a male dominated sport, and to me it was crucial that women feel safe on the road. SUPER encourages women to Take Up Space on the road with high quality cycle gear.
It was challenging to choose the correct color palette and logo that allowed SUPER to stay feminine without the societal constrictions put on women. It was my goal for SUPER to feel empowered by flipping the narrative and sticking to primary colors that can be interpreted as bold and strong.
