Project Description
Sand is a movie centering on a young woman’s late blooming. We were asked to create a plot and a Movie Poster that would align to the synopsis of the movie. I used photography, different sources of lighting and grain to tie it all together to help convey a feeling of eeriness.
Reflection
This was a lot of fun. I sourced the photographs from many things that are found on the ground in NYC. I always believe these pieces are trying to tell me something. I wanted to create a balance with these pictures and convey a feeling of moving. I used an outline on the photographs so they wouldn’t blend in with each other. I also used a blue rectangle as an art element to create some form of depth.
