Hospitality and Tourism industry is an applied field, and thus a lot of research is disseminated through presentations not only for teaching faculty but also for industry experts and leaders. Through my research and presentations I have been able to highlight current issues pertaining to some of the most under –researched areas in hospitality and tourism, and also add to the body of literature in this field. A vast majority (20) of my research presentations were refereed/peer reviewed. In 2018, at the ASFS conference I was asked to create a book chapter on Indigenous and Native Foods, and will be working on that over the next twelve months.

Since starting at City Tech, I extensively focused on scholarship and professional development and as mentioned above, earned a doctoral degree, presented research papers at conferences of international repute, worked on research papers and publications, earned grants as a PI or partnered with colleagues as part of the grant process.
