Since my appointment at City Tech, I have participated in a number of committees and initiatives at the department, college and the university. Along with serving on the department assessment and B Tech committees, I also helped to revamp the department website in 2010.  I have served on the College Council since 2008, first as an alternate delegate and then as a department delegate. At the college council, I have served on the Personnel Committee, Technology Committee (Elected Chair 2012-2014), and Curriculum (2015 to present). Currently I am serving as the Secretary of the Curriculum Committee. During my leadership at the Technology Committee, several initiatives were undertaken such as addressing the Wi-Fi speeds, streamlining the guess access, assessment of hybrid and online teaching as well recommendations were also made to move PARSE to an Online System.

At the departmental level, I was also the co-host for the MODUL University (Austria) students’ visit to New York and City Tech since 2012. This involved hosting them at the campus for meeting and class observations, as well as planning and coordinating their visits to various hotels and restaurants around the city.

Along with the above, I have also served on hospitality department’s Assessment Committee, B-Tech Committee, and Website & Technology Liaison. Additionally, I am also the course leader for several courses (Please refer to the course leader list under documents). Currently, I am serving as the Chair for Hospitality Department’s Recruitment efforts.

Last but not the least, I have participated in many of hospitality department initiatives and events such as Spoons across America, School Career Fairs and B J Denihan Lecture Series and the CHIPS event.
