The first video seems to be the warm and encouraging because I notice someone made a story with the words and there are some people that have no trouble remembering the words.
The second video seems to be cold and not supportive because I notice that there are people taking some time saying the words.

Henry- I noticed this too! You are correct. Many of the people in the second video talked slowly and took their time to recite the words back.. It showed to me that maybe they weren’t so confident in their ability to remember! Good observation!

The first video is the warm and encouraging group because majority of the participants were able to repeat all of the words on the list. The second video is the cold and not supportive group because many of the participants struggled when trying to repeat the list of words.

This is quite true– after re-watching several time, the people in the second video often recited the words back in the form of a question. The first video people recited the words quickly and with confidence. Good call!

In the first video everyone seems more relaxed and laid back, it’s just an experiment, no pressure i got this, which indicates that they were encouraged and reassured. The second video seems more tense and stressful based on the facial expressions, uncertainty of the answers and the demeanor of the participants, suggesting that they may not have been coached up like the first group.

You can definitely tell that the first video is the warm and encouraging one, they sound so confident and not afraid to repeat the list of words one more time. The second video is the not supportive and cold one since they take their time to think what words are they actually going to say.

well, after watching these two videos, I noticed that the first group of people did much better than the second. Why? because they looked more comfortable, attentive, focused, and determined, and one even tried to make a story of the words. However, the second video some people not only had difficulty to memorize, but also to repeat some of the words.

The first video must be the positive encouragement experiment because the majority of participants in the video were smiling and confident about the words they recited; the people conducting the experiment had a “nicer” tone as well. The second video must be the negative discouragement experiment because the majority of the participants had a serious, stoic expression and were reciting words in a question format; the people conducting the experiment sounded cold and indifferent.

In the second video the participants seemed to be much more ridged and cautious when reciting the words this leads me to believe that they are the cold/unsupported group. the first video was more upbeat so was to music.
