This course introduces students to the legal foundations that govern business practices, emphasizing contract formation, execution, and termination. It explores the development of Anglo-American jurisprudence, the structure of federal and state court systems, and key concepts in Constitutional Law. Students will also examine methods of dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, as well as issues related to business crimes and torts. The course covers commercial and sales contract law under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, and introduces basic property law concepts, particularly copyrights, patents, and trademarks. Additionally, students will analyze how these legal principles are applied to emerging issues in the digital and e-business landscape.
