The course includes lectures accompanied by images of selected artworks, class discussions, and a required visit to one of the following museums: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Guggenheim Museum, or the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Students will be expected to write a paper analyzing original works of art they have personally observed during their visit.
