Course description:
Introduction to Textiles provides an overview of the textile industry and its role within the fashion and apparel business. The course examines the fundamental components of textiles, including fibers, yarns, fabric construction, dyes, printing methods, and finishing techniques. Students learn to identify and evaluate different textile types and understand their performance, quality, and appropriate end uses in apparel and home furnishings.
