Course description:

Future Fashion and Textiles explores emerging technologies and innovations shaping the future of the apparel and textile industries. The course investigates topics such as smart textiles, conductive fabrics, biosynthetic fibers, and interactive garments, and examines how these technologies influence contemporary fashion design and production. Through research, discussions, and hands-on experimentation, students analyze new textile technologies and develop creative responses to industry challenges. Coursework includes lab-based projects, research assignments, and a final presentation that demonstrate the relationship between technology, sustainability, and innovation in fashion.
