Texture/Figure/Ground

For this project, we had to collect 20 rubbings of different textures. Then we had to select six of this rubbings and glue them on a sheet of Bristol paper. Then, we traced it out so it could be transferred next to the textures selected. Last but not least, we had to draw a line in between each square of the rubbings and choose which side was going to be black and which was going to be white.

This project was a sort of hard to do because, when setting the rubbings on a piece of paper with the black crayon, most of the textures looked the same. With so many small spots in my textures it was really time consuming to trace over them and then paint them with the black marker, but at the end I liked the results I got.
