The 5th Edition of The Companion- Internship Post 3

I got a chance to meet with the Director of First Year Programs to discuss our plans for the rest of the semester this week. I have been working with First Year Programs for a while. Since then, I got a chance to create flyers, the brochure, web banners, as well as rebrand the logo and branding for FYP. This semester was all about restocking on the deliverables and keeping everything up to date. This semester we are focused on updating the 5th edition of The Companion. The Companion is a book given to first year students to help guide them on their years at City Tech. To help update the book that students will be getting for their first year at the college is a huge deal. Students will be using these to get help them get use to their transition from high school to college. Should probably make this edition a good one. The question  I ask myself is, “what you would like to see if I was new student at City Tech ?”

As The Semester Begins – Internship Post 2

As I continue to work for my clients that I have been working with since I began working here, another important job I have is to watch over the team, especially the new interns we have added to the team, Philip and Natalie. They have both been a pleasure to work with and I can definitely see the growth already. They are always asking questions and constantly thinking about their clients and being on top of their tasks. I have noticed this since training them for our internship program and its great to know that they are focused, which is always rewarding to see. As for me, I had a chance to set up a couple of meetings to discuss with my clients about what’s to come for the upcoming semester.

Hit The Ground Running – Internship Post 1

Its about that time. Back to work at Faculty Commons and school is now in session, and we hit the ground running. The summer has flew by and I am glad I get a chance to finish off my senior this semester and work at Faculty Commons at City Tech. It has been a pleasure to be able to come on board and be a part of the team since January 2015. It seems so long ago since I have joined the team and I don’t regret it at all. This semester I get a chance to continue work for the English Department and First Year Programs, while I continue to look over the design team and the members as a whole. Hopefully there will be a couple more surprises in store.
