This class has taught me a great many things about both art as a whole but also how aesthetic and creative a design can become. It has also shown me some of my strong and weak points for design work and as such I have uploaded works that showcase both to try and explain it. Firstly my success should be explored. My successes come in the form of a creative mind that seems to work on a level not many do though this may be attributed to my own unique way of viewing not only the world but life itself as a giant RPG game. My other success comes in the form of having an astounding sense of color opacity, as seen in my third work titled ‘Circus Bubbles’. Finally I have noticed I have a rather unique style that forms in a type of ‘Isolationist’ style in my artwork that disconnects certain parts as their own and combining the separate parts to become a whole piece.

However throughout this entire semester despite my successes I have discovered I have a few challenges that need to be overcome if I wish to become better as not only a designer but an artist in general. One  such obstacle is my rather limited sense of color choices, having the problem of understanding outside of complementary colors what would look good in a design. I must also overcome my purely ‘Isolationist’ style in favor of a broader sense of aesthetics to add to my own personal library of knowledge. Finally I must develop a greater sense of ‘wholeness’ and willingness to use other tools such as tracing paper and such to create a more well defined look of repetition. Over all despite these short comings I believe this portfolio is the first great step towards becoming a fantastic designer with the help of others and my professors.
