Final Grades are posted – Farewell!

Hi everyone,

Your letter grades have been submitted to CUNYFirst, and you can find your final exam score and your overall course average here in the OpenLab Gradebook.

It’s been a real pleasure working with you all this semester – despite the challenges of distance learning you threw yourselves into difficult and demanding material with admirable enthusiasm. Thank you – it was fun!

I wish you all the best,
Prof. Reitz

Be Well!

Grades updated on OpenLab

Hi everyone,

You can now find the following grade information in the OpenLab Gradebook (if you’d like to know how your grade for the course is calculated, the grading policy can be found here):

  • Project (out of 100). Grade is based on Parts I-IV of the Numerical Methods Project.
  • OpenLab / Participation (out of 100). Based on OpenLab assignment “Advice from the Past” together with class participation. Extra credit was available on the OpenLab assignment, so a score greater than 100 is possible.
  • WeBWorK (out of 100). To receive 100, you must have completed 90% of the assigned WeBWorK – if you completed more than 90%, your score will be higher than 100. In addition, there were two Optional assignments over Spring Break, and these points could also increase your score beyond 100.
  • Course Average – all except final exam (out of 100). This gives your % in the course prior to the Final Exam — it includes your three class exams, OpenLab/Participation, WeBWorK, and the Project.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I’ll see you all this afternoon for the final exam. Good luck!

– Prof. Reitz

Exam #3 grades are posted on OpenLab

Hi everyone,

Grades for Exam #3 are available through the OpenLab Gradebook. As usual, a link to your graded exam paper is in the Gradebook comments.

Please note that your grade will not be finalized/available until you have completed your one-on-one meeting with me – if you still need to do this, please send me an email and we will find a time.

Best of luck with your studying, and I will see you on Thursday (remember, there is no class today, Tuesday 5/18, as it is “reading day”).
Prof. Reitz

Exam #1 Special Offer is graded; Updated scores are posted on OpenLab Gradebook

Hi everyone,

Your Exam #1 Special Offer has been graded, and your score for Exam #1 has been updated in the OpenLab Gradebook. I added a link to your graded Special Offer written work in the comments area of the gradebook (you will see two links in the comment, one to the Special Offer and one to Exam #1). I was pleased to see that many of you took advantage of this offer, and improved your scores on Exam #1 – great job!

Best,

Prof. Reitz
