Bobby Shmurda, real name Ackquille Jean Pollard is an American rapper from Brooklyn. He is best known for his song “Hot Nigga”, which was released in July 2014 a song that debuted the “Shmoney dance,” which went viral after the release of the music video. The song has so far been at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the song being remixed and performed by many other artists including Lil Kim, French Montana, Juicy J, Sean Mon Thomas, Gunplay, T.I, Chris Brown, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes & Fabulous.
Shmurda gained fame from the video where he performs the “Shmoney dance”, that he made. The song became popular among vine users and soon led to the “Shmoney dance” meme, which has been performed by Beyonce, Jay-Z & Drake and almost the whole world.
With this this type of fame, he soon got signed to a record deal.
He was the ringleader of a crip gang in Brooklyn. The lyrics of his song, ended them up in jail, unfortunately.
