Bio

In 2016 I graduated from City Tech with an Associate’s in Chemical Technology. The experience here gave me courage to leave the full-time job I had, teaching in the SUNY System, and trust in a future connected with the sciences. Because of family who had moved to Wisconsin, that is what I did, too. Now I am close to completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin Platteville, and I may continue for a minor in Biology as well. With dairy animals, I have found a way to connect sciences with the other thing I love, India. There are a lot of dairy water buffalo there, and I am completely fascinated by them. Do I ever regret leaving City Tech? Yes: It was the best educational experience I have had- and a great place, too. And that is a high standard: UWP is quite good- and of course there are a lot more cows here than in downtown Brooklyn.

My Courses

Library 1201: Research and Documentation for the Information Age

Library 1201: Research and Documentation for the Information Age

In this course we will explore issues in research and documentation for text (print and digital), images, sound, and multimedia. You will investigate where information comes from and how it is organized in both traditional and emerging media. We will examine the ethics of information use and determine how to critically evaluate sources. Throughout the course, you will create and present research and documentation projects using traditional and emerging media and technologies. This is a writing-intensive course. You should expect to spend roughly 6 hours outside of classroom time preparing for class each week.
