Hi, my name is Gianny Matias I am a junior at New York City College Of Technology. I am majoring in Advertising Design but, I have a passion for photography. I plan on getting my associates in Advertising Design and transferring to FIT for photography. Majoring In Advertising Design has allowed me to become comfortable with programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, I also taught myself how to use Light room for my photography. In my high school (Martin Van Buren) I didn’t really have any art classes, when I got to college is when I took my first art, and computer software classes ever. Some of my favorite classes I’ve taken were, Raster and Victor Graphics, Graphic Design Principles and Digital Photography.

I’ve come across a lot of people who have inspired me but some of the photographers who have had a huge impact on my photography are Evan Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Mike Lerner and Evan Tetrault. These photographers work have Inspired me to pursue photography, they all have unique styles but they all appeal to me. I don’t think I’ve developed my signature style in photography just yet, some take years to develop their style. I just hope to go far in my photography career.
