I really enjoyed reading Sula. For me the ending to Sula is such a tragedy. I think the love of Nel’s life is actually Sula. It seems to me the reason why Nel was so heart broken when she found out Sula and Jude cheated was because to Sula had cheated on her and that she had lost Sula.
This book demonstrates tough love between mother and son. When Eva burnt Plum to death for his own good since all she sees was Plum suffering from day to day, living his life miserably.
